AAA James

In recognition of my delinquency for writing a post per partner, I shall begin at the now and press backward. This will, I know, draw the ire of anyone used to singing along with Mary Poppins who does indeed recommend beginning at the beginning…a very good place to start.

But since I am very much NOT practically perfect in every way, we are, in fact welcoming the chaos.

James Omart appeared in the Greenwald Room during an open house event, intrigued by both history and current events. Within minutes it became apparent his enthusiasm could help ACHS draw more attention to Ticknor Hill and encourage people to stay. He without hesitation agreed to add stickers to his business cards, bring our flyers along to events, and generally talk us up. All this in exchange for his business information on our dining room buffet and in the guest baskets.

Then it turned out he and his wife married on Halloween, which simply could NOT be a more Anoka thing to do. So here is born the first installment of a new effort called #MyAnokaStory.

This collection will physically rotate through the Greenwald Room on the mantlepiece, featuring folks from town. Just short little snips of life to connect people to each other and the space they inhabit. Leaves of a tree. Drops in the river. Flakes in a snow pile.

What this means for you

  1. We encourage you to patronize our partners and support them so they can continue supporting us

  2. Become a #partnerInCrime or share the opportunity with someone who could. This form will help make that happen

  3. Donate your #myAnokaStory to ACHS (pro tip: don’t live in Anoka? Change the hashtag…#myCoonRapdsStory or #myBethelStory) email it to me here
