Adopt-an-Artifact

from $100.00

Help care for the collection!

Did you just fall in love with a quilt or a map? Did one of the military uniforms make you feel particularly connected to someone? Did you just learn something really interesting from a geography book printed in 1886?

You can adopt that item for a year and know your donation supports its care and preservation—the environmental controls, wrapping materials, display stands, and database subscriptions all cost money to maintain.

Select a level below and know you’re making ACHS and preserving local history a priority so future researchers and students can access the same information we do today.

$100 — Parent — 1. Your name in the History 21 Newsletter, ACHS social media, and on the website 2. Thank-you letter from the ACHS Director with a Certificate of Adoption 3. A bookmark with the history of your artifact, a glossy photo of your artifact, and an ACHS history booklet of your choice.

$150 — Caretaker — ALL of the Parent level goodies plus an 8x10 Jon Arfstrom art print and custom graphic shareable on your social media with a photograph of your artifact

$250 — Forebearer — ALL of the Parent and Caretaker goodies plus A 30-minute chat with ACHS staff for you and up to 25 of your friends. See your artifact in person and learn how to preserve your own family heirlooms while you enjoy treats at the Ticknor Hill House!
